Pauline is a hair stylist and image consultant who ran a successful business in the Netherlands. She wanted to relocate part-time to Dubai to be with her husband who had already settled into his new job there. Pauline envisioned spending half her time in Dubai where she hoped to advance her business and build up a client base.
Pauline’s local REA coach explained that word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool in Dubai. She recommended networking venues and events where Pauline could showcase her talents. The coach introduced Pauline to the many networking customs she would likely encounter.
As a result of her successful networking experiences, Pauline received an invitation to the Dutch Business Council, was asked to present at a shop owner’s summer collection launch, booked a number of private workshops and made some friends in her new part-time home. Pauline still travels regularly between the UAE and The Netherlands, and continues to build a wide base of clients in Dubai. She attributes her success in large part to the guidance she received and the valuable personal and professional contacts she made through her REA coach.
